Heartfelt words on frozen tongues

So many songs will be left unsung

I mourn them as my petals fall away

stripped to the stem

by the sentimental days

Vibrant green leaves withered to brown

So many thorns piercing all around

I feel them as my brilliant colors fade

chilled to the bone

as the evenings gray

Desperately seeking to set worlds apart

So many feelings jostle my heart

I hear them as my good byes are bade

Silent to the soul

they slip away

Speechless I am, and lean upon my pen

so many wounds writing can mend

I release them as my thoughts unfold

written to the world

upon the wind,

in bold
